We are thrilled to announce that the Pocket platform is now available in six new languages: French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish.
Available on iPhone, iPad, Android, and Web Today
Whether it’s through our favorite apps, in our email inboxes, or while browsing the Internet on any number of possible devices, we’re discovering interesting content everywhere we go. Yet we don’t always have the time to read or watch something the moment we find it.
We’ve discovered this is a universal problem no matter where you are in the world. Already over 40% of Pocket’s users speak a language other than English, and 60% of our users live outside the United States.
An Optimized International Experience
As Pocket continues to grow globally, we wanted to bring the same stellar Pocket experience to all of our users, so they can seamlessly save and view anything interesting they find online.
Not only is the app fully-translated across our platform for French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish, we’ve also made significant improvements to Article View accuracy for these languages.
More Integrations with International Apps
Seamless integrations with other apps and sites are key to a great Pocket experience. Pocket is already supported by Flipboard, Twitter, Feedly and over 700 other apps loved by our users around the world.
We’ll soon be bringing Pocket support to even more apps and platforms, especially those in other countries. The first of these is a partnership with Yandex.Browser in Russia. Pocket’s Chrome extension now comes pre-installed on Yandex.Browser, so all it takes to save something interesting online is a single click of the Pocket button. We’ll continue to announce new integrations as soon as they become available.
We are on a mission to help people, no matter where they are in the world, to quickly save and view the content they’re interested in. We are thrilled that Pocket is now available in six new languages, but this is only the beginning of bringing our platform to a broader audience.
Expect to see new languages from Pocket soon.
