Now in Pocket for Android: Tweet Attribution and In-App YouTube Playback
For Pocket’s more than 9 million users, Twitter and YouTube are two essential ways to discover great content. Today we’re excited to announce that our Tweet Attribution feature and in-app YouTube viewing are both available on the new Android update, rolling out for users over the next few days and available to everyone by the end of the week.
Tweet Attribution
Pocket users save more than 4 million items per month from Twitter and third-party apps like TweetCaster and Plume. With Tweet Attribution, you can see the original tweet of every item that you’ve saved—and our Twitter integration lets you easily favorite, retweet and reply right from inside the Pocket app.
YouTube In-App Viewing
Similarly, YouTube remains Pocket users’ No. 1 most-saved site on the web, with more than 1 million videos saved a month. Our latest update has an improved video player for YouTube—powered by the YouTube API—that gives Android users the best in-app online viewing experience.
We’re excited to have you try it out. As always, you can reach us at Pocket Support for questions or feedback!
